BMSE are a group of surveyors who cover all of the UK and many parts of Europe, with some members traveling world wide. Our aim is to share information pertinent to our profession and in doing so, provide an even better service to our clients. We are all graduates of the Practical Yacht and Small Craft Surveying Course. Held by the world renown International Boat building Training College, this is the only practical based training program for surveyors of its type and is supported by the Yacht Designer’s and Surveyors Association, which is the industry’s leading professional standards group. In an unregulated industry, it is our aim to provide the boat owner with a professional survey and report that adheres to high standards.
As our members are primarily boat enthusiasts and owners, we do offer a knowledgeable service. Collectively we have experience that spans most aspects of sailing, boat building and ownership. Our member skills include wooden boat building, commercial fishing, sail school operators, radar engineers, riggers, electricians, brokerage and much more.
