The BMSE are a group of surveyors who cover all of the UK and many parts of Europe, with some members traveling world wide. Our aim is to share information pertinent to our profession and in doing so, provide an even better service to our clients. We are all graduates of the Practical Yacht and Small Craft Surveying Course. Held by the world renown International Boat building Training College, this is the only practical based training program for surveyors of its type and is supported by the Yacht Designer’s and Surveyors Association, which is the industry’s leading professional standards group. In an unregulated industry, it is our aim to provide the boat owner with a professional survey and report that adheres to high standards.
As our members are primarily boat enthusiasts and owners, we do offer a knowledgeable service. Collectively we have experience that spans most aspects of sailing, boat building and ownership. With some members being qualified wooden boat builders, others with commercial experience and even some with commercial fishing experience we span almost every aspect of small craft. We share information across our group in order to bring this experience to our customers.
